APPLICATION:

Moving Floors have revolutionized the wood products industry by allowing trailers to load, haul and self-unload chips, bark, pulp and paper – or any bulk product. Trailers with a moving Floor do not require expensive tippers, and can self-unload just about anywhere. Loading is just as easy, even inside buildings close to manufacturing points.

Moving Floors are available in a variety of deck styles and materials with drive units to match the specific needs of the application. The system is powered hydraulically, operated by pushing a simple lever. Once the trailer is unloaded, it can easily be “swept clean”, allowing for backhauls of other materials.

Live Floors install quickly and smoothly into virtually any trailer, new or used. By working in advance with trailer manufacturers and our wide range of standard components, we assure a custom fit. Decking is available in lengths up to 53′ for both 96″ and 102″ trailers. Full trailer-length, snap-on slats add up to fast installation and easy replacement.

Moving floor system is made of a series of floor slats, which are powered by a hydraulic drive, usually located underneath. As the floor moves through its four-phase cycle, every third slat moves together. During the final phase, all slats move in unison conveying the material. The friction of the load on the two sets of slats that remain in place keeps the load from moving while the single set of slats moves.
